At Tuttles we are thankful for our customers and believe in actively giving back to the central Indiana community.
Produce Donations for Food Pantries
Tuttles is actively involved in donating produce to food pantries and soup kitchens on an ongoing basis. These organizations include: Gleaners Food Bank, Hancock County Food Pantry, Greenfield Soup Kitchen, the Salvation Army, and others.
We focus our produce donations on food pantries and soup kitchens in our immediate area. We feel this is the best way to invest our produce resources in our community. Food pantries interested in produce need to contact Ruth Ann at (317) 326-2278 to be placed on the call list when extra produce is available.
Silent Auction Donations
Tuttle’s continues to give back to our community by providing Fall Family Packs to central Indiana non profit organizations for silent auctions.
Requests must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to your event (NO EXCEPTIONS). Any requests submitted in less time will automatically be denied.
Tuttle’s ONLY fills requests for events in Hancock or the surrounding counties as these coupons must be used in person at the farm during the fall season. If you are not located in Hancock or the surrounding counties, there is no need to complete this form as request will not be granted.
Only one request per year per organization will be filled. For example, only one event for a high school will be honored per year. If school has multiple events for multiple different departments (band, PTO, sports, etc) you may choose which area may request, but only one request will be granted.
Please submit requests via email We do not receive requests via the phone. To make a request, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the following info:
- Name of Organization
- Non profit 501C 3 # or Nonprofit ID #
- Location of organization (please note we only honor requests for events in Hancock and surrounding counties due to volume of requests)
- Email address
- Name of contact
- Address where address should be mailed.
- Phone Number
- Description of Event, who will be in attendance, when event will take place.
We receive 200 + requests a year so we may be unable to fill all requests. If request is submitted less than two weeks before an event, request will not be granted.
Produce & Product Requests for Non Profits
Apples & Pumpkins for Schools, Churches, Fall Festivals
Because of the number of requests we receive, Tuttle’s does not make donations of pumpkins, apples, etc to non-profit events (fall festivals, school events, etc). However, we will offer these type organization a discounted price on the following items:
This year in order to better serve you and insure we have produce to fill all orders, ONLINE ordering is required for these orders.
PLEASE NOTE FOR 2019: Due to all the rain this spring and the late planting season, it is possible that we will NOT be able to offer discounted pumpkins to non profit organizations. If we do end up having some available, it will probably be late in the season. If you need pumpkins by a certain date, please just visit the orchard to purchase at retail price. Mini pumpkins and gourds are $1.75/each and most pie pumpkins are $3.50/each depending on size. Please email email@example.com for orders of more than 25 so James can have them ready for you. Thanks.
Who may order here?
Schools, churches, and other non-profit groups who would like to get a discounted price for apples, cider, and mini pumpkins.
When do I order?
Please order at least one week before you wish to pick up. For fall orders, availability for pumpkins will be updated in mid-September. Ordering early for pumpkins is encouraged. There is a very good chance later in the season there will no longer be pumpkins available.
Why do I have to pre-order?
Pre-order allows us to make sure we have your product ready for you, and also insures that we don’t over commit product. To receive this pricing, pre-order/pre-payment is required. We cannot hold product for groups that have not pre-paid as we often have a waiting list and we want to insure that we are able to help as many groups as possible.
Does Tuttle's ever donate product?
Because we get 100’s of requests a year, we are unable to meet all those requests with free product. Instead, we have decided the fairest option is to allow all groups to have discounted pricing on these products.
Does Tuttle's deliver?
We’re sorry. We do not deliver. If you are need a semi load size order of pumpkins (several thousand) we can connect you with a wholesaler who could deliver. They do not deliver small orders, only very large orders. s.
Does Tuttle's have large pumpkins available?
We’re sorry…we are only able to grow enough large pumpkins to fill our retail demand. The pumpkins that are available for discounted pricing are pie pumpkins and mini pumpkins. We find these are the best price and size for groups.
When can I pick up my order?
All pickups must be Monday-Friday. No Saturday pickups…it’s just too busy around here on Saturdays in the fall.
What do I need to bring with me to pickup my order?
Please bring with you a copy of some document from your non profit indicating your tax exempt status. If you are ordering pumpkins, you must present a proof of tax exempt status at pickup or we are required by law to charge you tax at pickup.
