Apple Orchard Tour
For Elementary Students: Learn
about the life of an apple. Pick an apple off a tree in our orchard and tour our
facilities. Discover how apples are stored and sorted and how cider is
made. Enjoy our observation bee hive and discover all about the different
apple varieties. Each student will receive a cup of cider and an apple.
Ages Kindergarten thru fifth grade will enjoy this tour offered September
17th - October 12th. Cost is $3.00 for children and adults. Teachers are
free.
For
Preschool Students: This is an
opportunity for young children to explore the orchard in a hand-on way.
Each child will pick a bag of four apples and play in the activity center.
No formal explanation of the orchard will be given. Tour is offered
to children ages 3-5 yrs from Sept 17-20. Cost is $3.00 per child.
Adults are free (does not include a bag of apples for adults).
Pumpkin Patch Tour
Bring your students to a day in the
country as they enjoy picking their own pumpkin right from the field.
Enjoy a ride in our hay -filled trailer and play in our activity center where they can run through the
sunflower and straw mazes, drive a large, play tractor, play in the sand
box, jump on the giant hay-stack, play on the jungle gym and swing set
and enjoy viewing the farm animals. Tour lasts about one hour and is
for children 3yrs to 2nd grade. We will offer these tours October
1st -19th. Cost is $3.50 per child and $1.00 per parent.* Teachers are
free.*

Adults do not receive a pumpkin.
Activity Center
Play in the fenced-in country farm
play area with the following activities:
- Sunflower maze
- Straw maze
- Large Wooden Tractor
- Jungle gym & swings
- Big straw bale
- Sand box
- Farm animals to view
- Pedal tractors
Children two years old to second grade can
enjoy it between Sept.17th - Oct 19th. Cost is $1.50 per child.
Agrimaze
Five- acre cornstalk maze will help
you learn all about agriculture while you try to find your way through to
the end. This maze will take 30-45 minutes to complete, and is best suited
for second grade and up. Dates September 17th-October 19th. Cost is $1.50
per guest.
Picnic Lunch
Bring a sack lunch and have a picnic in
the country. Sorry, we don't have shelter if it rains.

How to make arrangements
We
begin scheduling tours on August 20th. Please call Helen at 317-326-8488,
afternoons and evenings, to schedule your tour. Please call
early as our tours fill up very quickly. Be sure to have your school
address and phone number ready when you call. Please do not send
emails regarding scheduling a tour as we want to be able to answer you in
a timely manner.
Other important information:
- A minimum of 10 paying
individuals or the equivalent amount is required for a group.
- We allow one teacher free for every ten students.
- Combined apple and pumpkin tours are available.
Many groups choose to expand the elementary apple tour option to include
the Agrimaze or Activitiy Center.
- Most of our tours are scheduled on the half hour
(9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, etc.) We do not offer prescheduled
tours to groups on Saturdays.
- Restroom facilities are available on site.
