Senior Citizen Groups

A large number of senior groups and assisted living residents visit the orchard each fall to explore the farm and shop in our farm store.

For nursing home and assisted living facilities: Many groups visit the orchard to enjoy a time of shopping in our store and viewing our observation bee hive. There is no charge to visit. We will even provide complimentary samples of cider to your residents if you call ahead and let us know you are coming. We strongly recommend that you visit on a weekday afternoon to avoid school tours and Saturday crowds. No reservations are needed to visit our farm store or enjoy the pick your own apples. The store, observation beehive area, and restrooms are handicap accessible.

For bus tour groups:We offer a one hour guided walking tour of the apple production facilities, Monday-Friday from 9:30-4pm. Tour participants will see the cold storage, apple grader, cider press, observation bee hive, farm store, and will be able to pick a small bag of apples in the orchard. This is a walking tour...with some areas being farm terrain. Cost is $4/person. There is a minimum 15 people (no exceptions). Reservations can be made by calling Helen at 317-326-8488.
