Winter Roads

Have a question of how the roads are after a winter storm? Give us a call (317) 326-2278, and we'll be glad to tell you today's road conditions. Typically the county does a pretty good job of clearing our roads.

From the East (Shirley, New Castle, Ohio):

Take I-70 west to the Greenfield (State Road 9) exit. Go north (right) on SR 9 to 600 North. Turn west (left) on 600 North, and go about six miles until you come to 300 West. Turn south (left), and Tuttle Orchards is on the east (left) side of the road.

From the West (downtown Indianapolis, Indianapolis Airport):

We are about 30 minutes from downtown Indianapolis.

Take I-70 east to the Mt. Comfort Road (exit #96 / County Road 600 West or Mt. Comfort Road). Go north (left) three and one half miles to 600 North. Turn east (right) at the light at 600 North. Go three miles on 600 North until you come to 300 West. Turn South (right) on 300 West and Tuttle Orchards is on the east (left) side of the road.

From the North (Eden, Northern Hancock County):

Go south on SR 9 to 600 North. Turn west (right) on 600 North, and go about 6 miles until you come to 300 West. Turn south (left), and Tuttle Orchards is on the east (left) side of the road.

From Fishers:

We are about 30 minutes from Hamilton Town Center.

Go south on Olio Road past the stoplight at Pendleton Pike (SR67) to 600 North. Turn east (left) on 600 North, go three miles to 300 West. Turn south (right) and Tuttle Orchards is on the east (left) side of the road.

From Greenfield:

We are about 15 minutes from downtown Greenfield.

Go north on Fortville Pike/Franklin Road about 6 miles to 500 North. Turn left on 500 North and go two miles to 300 North. Turn right and the orchard is about 1/2 mile down the road.

or Via I-9 from the South:

Go north on SR 9 to 600 North. Turn west (left) on 600 North, and go about 6 miles until you come to 300 West. Turn south (left), and Tuttle Orchards is on the east (left) side of the road.

From Oaklandon/Geist/Lawrence:

We are 10 minutes from Oaklandon and 15-20 minutes from Lawrence/Geist:

Go east on Pendleton Pike (SR67) to Oaklandon Road (Family Leisure is on the corner). Turn south (right) onto Oaklandon Road. The road goes one block south then turns east and becomes 600 North. Follow the road five miles east to 300 West. Turn south (right) and Tuttle Orchards is on the east (left) side of the road.

From Anderson/Muncie:

We are about 30-40 minutes from Anderson.

Go south on I-69 South towards Indianapolis. Take the IN-13 exit (Exit 14) toward Lapel/Fortville. Take ramp toward Fortville, turn left onto IN-13. Continue on IN-13 (it will become N. Madison St. for a short time). Turn right at I-67 (Broadway St or Pendleton Pike) by the Fortville library. Go about two blocks to stoplight at S. Maple Street, turn left. In about one mile, turn right at 200 N (look for signs towards Mt. Vernon Schools). Travel 3.6 miles until 200 N ends at 600 N. Turn right on 600 N. Go about one mile. Turn left on 300 W. The orchard is located about 1/4 mile down the road. Note: currently there is construction on I-13...we recommend traveling down Pendleton Pike from Anderson to Fortville instead.

From Fortville:

At the stoplight at S. Maple Street and Pendleton Pike turn south (toward the Century 21 office). In one mile, turn right at 200 N (look for signs towards Mt. Vernon Schools). Travel 3.6 miles until 200 North ends at 600 North. Turn right on 600 N. Go about one mile, and turn left on 300 W. The orchard is located about 1/4 mile down the road.

From Greewood/Beach Grove/Southport:

We are 35-50 minutes from Southport area depending on traffic.

Go North on Emerson Ave. to I-465 East. Travel on I-465 East around the south side of Indianapolis to I-70 East. Take I-70 East to the Mt. Comfort Road (exit #96 /County Road 600 West). Go north (left) three and one half miles to 600 North. Turn east (right) at the light at 600 North. Go three miles on 600 North until you come to 300 West. Turn South (right) on 300 West and Tuttle Orchards is on the east (left) side of the road.

From Broad Ripple/56th Street:

We are about 25-35 minutes from downtown Broadripple depending on traffic.

Take 56th Street east through Indianapolis. Continue east on 56th street over I-67/Pendleton Pike (go straight past Mike's Car Wash) into Hancock County. 56th Street change to 500 N. Continue east. At the flashing light at 600 W/Mt Comfort Road continue straight (the road jogs slightly to the left). In 3 miles, turn north (left) on 300 West. Tuttles is located about 1/2 mile down the road.

From I-465 North/Nora/Castelton:

Take I-465 east to the 56th Street Exit. Go left on 56th Street. Continue east on 56th Street over I-67/Pendleton Pike (go straight past Mike's Car Wash) into Hancock County. 56th Street changes to 500 N. Continue east. At the flashing light at 600 W (Mt Comfort Road) continue straight (the road jogs slightly to the left). In 3 miles, turn north (left) on 300 West. Tuttles is located about 1/2 mile down the road.
